A leading industry analyst, Faisal is a well-recognised influencer in the technology domain and is a founder and chief analyst at techARC since 2018. He started his career with iLocus, London based IP technologies research group and worked in VoIP, Fixed Mobile Convergence, IPTV, Communications Semiconductors, Next Generation Telephony, SIP Trunking, Wireless Communications and other such emerging converged technologies. He contributed to various global reports and publications, while he served clients primarily in US, Europe and Australia. He then moved to UAE and worked for a consulting firm, InCite and then joined Du (Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company, UAE) as Technology Analyst for IPTV. He worked with IPTV platform’s engineering team in analysing the customer and network data to find out the root causes of the issues. Moving back to India in 2010, Faisal joined IDC India in Consulting Services and worked on projects including Intelligent Transportation Systems. With IDC India and CyberMedia’s announced separation, Faisal was entrusted with the task of setting up SemiCon (ESDM) practice at CMR (CyberMedia Research) and he continued to be part of the consulting team to work on various consulting engagements across technology domains, reinventing the Telecom Research Practice at CMR. He also contributed to strategically important assignments like CAREL (Core Advisory on R&D in Electronics) workshops and recommendatory reports for charting out the indigenisation roadmap to be undertaken by the Office of Principle Scientific Adviser, Government of India. He is an influencer speaker, moderator, columnist and an opinion maker in Telecom Digital IP Technologies and ESDM Startups-Incubation. His recommendatory reports driven by workshops feed key inputs into the policies and guidelines released by government to promote electronics manufacturing in India.
